KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has said the party has no any connection with agriculture expert, Madan Rai. Rai has been arrested on Friday on the charge of sexually abusing schoolgirls.

A press release issued by RSP General Secretary and Spokesperson, Dr. Mukul Dhakal, mentioned that the sexual abuse of schoolgirls by Rai was condemnable.

The statement reads, “Our serious attention has been drawn towards the questions regarding Rai’s relation with RSP. We invited Rai as a guest speaker to a gathering organized at Khula Manch on August 27, 2022. Rai, who even was not a general member of the RSP, was invited as the agriculture expert. We want to inform you that RSP has no connection and relation with Rai after that program.”

The RSP also demanded legal action against Rai.
