Anjan Shrestha elected unopposed as FNCCI Senior Vice President

Businessman Anjan Shrestha has been elected unopposed as the Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). Anjan was elected to the post after another contestant for the post, Umesh Lal Shrestha, withdrew his candidacy. Anjan Shrestha is the Director of Laxmi Group.

NBA office bearers draw PM Dahal’s attention on appointment of CJ

Office bearers of Nepal Bar Association (NBA) on Thursday met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and discussed legal issues, reforming judicial sector, among others. In the meeting, Prime Minister Prachanda appreciated the role played by the Bar Association for the protection of democracy and the Constitution and for reforming the justice system.

Govindaraj Joshi to support Swarnim Wagle in Tanahu-1

Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), Balen Shah has asked the government either to work in favor of Kathmandu or move the Singha Durbar to some other municipalities. After Mayor Shah instructed not to collect the garbage from Singha Durbar, President’s Office, and Prime Minister’s residence, the garbage has not been collected from these places since Saturday.
