KATHMANDU: Businessman Anjan Shrestha has been elected unopposed as the Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
Anjan was elected to the post after another contestant for the post, Umesh Lal Shrestha, withdrew his candidacy.
Anjan Shrestha is the Director of Laxmi Group.
He entered the business sector 30 years ago starting a dairy industry in Pokhara and is now considered one of the established businessmen in Nepal.
He has investments in the manufacturing industry and business sector.
Anjan Shrestha has businesses, including Sujal Food, Sujal Plastic, Siddhi Laxmi Steel, and Sujal Dairy.
His company also trades sugar, milk powder, liquid glucose, printing inks, various types of plastic granules, palm kernel oil, palm oil, among others.
