KATHMANDU: Diplomat Afreen Akhter, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State (DAS) for the South and Central Asian Affairs Bureau arrived in Kathmandu on Monday.
During DAS Akhter’s visit, she will meet with America’s Nepali partners at ICIMOD and Urja Nepal.
She is also scheduled to meet with the Nepal Army and government officials to discuss climate change, clean energy, humanitarian assistance & disaster response, and advancing democracy, human rights, and mutual economic prosperity, according to the US Embassy in Nepal.
