Nepal sees nine new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, active cases 28

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of nine new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

All the nine confirmed cases were detected through the RT-PCR method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,377 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of those cases, 643 were tested through RT-PCR method and 734 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 28 active cases in the country as four infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,020 to date.
