RPP demands four ministries, including Deputy PM

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has demanded 4 ministries, including Deputy Prime Minister, to join the government.

RPP has said it would join the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda if it got four ministries.

The party has been insisting that it should get four ministries during the meeting of the top leaders of the ruling parties.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is expanding the cabinet in a couple of days, sources said.

RPP is set to join the government under the leadership of party Chairman Rajendra Lingden.

RPP sources said there is a strong possibility that Chairman Lingden would assume the portfolio of the Ministry of Energy along with the Deputy Prime Minister.

The party has 14 members in the House of Representatives.

The meeting of the ruling coalition, which was scheduled to be held on Thursday, is yet to be held.

A RPP source said that the meeting will be held soon.
