KATHMANDU: The hearing of the writ petition challenging Ncell’s tax disputes is set to take place today after being rescheduled from Sunday and Monday due to a busy schedule.
Lawmaker Amresh Kumar Singh filed the petition, alleging that Ncell engaged in untransparent trading of shares, violating the country’s laws.
The petitioner has urged the Supreme Court not to acknowledge the purchase and sale of Ncell shares.
Respondents in the writ include the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Nepal Telecommunications Authority, the Office of the Registrar of Companies, the Internal Revenue Department, and Ncell.
