Team Nepal leaves for UAE in pursuit of World Cup Asia Cup Qualifiers



KATHMANDU: The Nepal National Men’s Football team is set to depart for the UAE today to participate in the FIFA World Cup 2026 second round and AFC Asia Cup 2027 joint qualifiers, where they will face the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has confirmed that the Nepali team will depart at 3 pm today. Nepal is scheduled to compete against UAE in Dubai on November 16, followed by a match against Yemen on November 21 at Dashrath Stadium.

Nepal finds itself in Group H alongside UAE, Bahrain, and Yemen in the second round of World Cup Asia Qualifiers. Notably, Nepal secured its place in the second round by defeating Laos in the first round of the World Cup qualifiers.

The Nepalese squad traveling to the UAE comprises players such as Kiran Kumar Limbu, Deep Karki, Abhishek Baral, Sanish Shrestha, Rohit Chand, Anjan Rai, Aashish Chaudhary, Amrit Shrestha, Arik Bist, Chhiring Lama, Yogesh Gurung, Laken Limbu, Utsav Rai, Kritish Ratna Chunju, Manish Dangi, Sesehang Angdembe, Nishan Hamal, Anjan Bista, Ayush Ghalan, Gillespie Jung Karki, Hisub Thapalia, Sanjeev Bista, and Rajesh Pariyar.
