Landslide buries two houses in Makwanpur, obstructs Tribhuvan Highway



HETAUDA: The landslide induced by the incessant rain since Saturday morning has buried two houses and also obstructed the Bhimphedi-Bhaise road section of Tribhuvan Highway on Saturday afternoon.

According to Makwanpur Police Spokesperson DSP Tek Bahadur Karki, two houses have been buried by the landslide.

The police arrived at the scene and executed rescue operations with the help of locals, there have been no casualties, DSP Karki said.

After the Tribhuvan highway was blocked, the vehicles traveling to the federal capital through that section are stuck on the road.
