PM Dahal urges utilization of youths’ creativity for national prosperity



CHITWAN: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has urged all to cooperate and collaborate in the campaign to prompt youths to utilize their creative potential for national prosperity.

During the closing session of a week-long event organized by the Bharatpur Metropolitan City in Chitwan district on International Youth Day, the Prime Minister called on everyone to harness the creative potential and capabilities of youths for the betterment of the country.

PM Dahal emphasized the importance of involving millions of youths, both domestically and internationally, in national development efforts. He expressed confidence in accelerating development projects within the country.

PM Dahal stressed the need to eliminate corruption and irregularities in Nepal, advocating for good governance and the upliftment of marginalized communities. He highlighted his focus on optimizing the creative talents of the youth for economic growth and prosperity, as well as ensuring the well-being of Nepali migrants abroad.

Discussing a contribution-based social security program for youths, PM Dahal revealed that more than 300,000 overseas-working youths had already been included. He acknowledged the challenge of providing secure and dignified employment opportunities for those seeking foreign work, stressing the importance of creating favorable conditions for youth employment within Nepal.

Addressing diplomatic discussions, PM Dahal shared agreements with India and Bangladesh on technologies for organic farming, hydropower collaboration, and electricity trading. He announced upcoming visits to China to explore support for agricultural and animal husbandry projects and collaborations on physical infrastructure and electricity, including a cross-border transmission line from Rasuwa checkpoint.

PM Dahal stated that the government’s focus on agriculture, industry, and tourism business remain steadfast, even during his participation in the United Nations General Assembly. He emphasized the potential transformative impact of achieving a 10,000-megawatt electricity mega project, contributing to economic advancement.

PM Dahal reiterated his commitment to good governance, social justice, and prosperity as the guiding principles of the government’s endeavors. He mentioned the implementation of performance contracts with ministers to ensure transparency and accountability.

During the event, Mayor Renu Dahal of Bharatpur Metropolitan City appealed for cooperation in creating employment opportunities for youths within Nepal.
