One dies in Bhojpur landslide



BHOJPUR: A person has died after landslide buried him in Bhojpur.

The deceased is 47-year-old Pasang Tamang of Helauchha in the district.

Tamang had gone to the local Jhyalsinge forest along with other members of his family for collecting niguro (fiddlehead fern eaten as a vegetable) when the incident happened on Thursday.

Tamang had gone missing in the huge landslide. Nepal Police and Army personnel and locals had been searching for him.

Tamang’s body was retrieved from the landslide debris on Friday, the District police Office said.
