SC issues interim order on writ against Koshi government formation

The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order on the petition filed against the formation of the Koshi province government. A single bench of Justice Sapana Malla Pradhan issued an interim order to the Chief Minister Uddhav Thapa-led government not to take any long-term impact decision until the case is settled.

Sita Dahal cremated with state honors at Pashupatinath Aryaghat

Sita Dahal, the wife of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda,” was cremated with state honors at Pashupatinath Aryaghat in Kathmandu on Wednesday afternoon. Prime Minister Dahal, who is also the Chairman of the Maoist Center, solemnly lit the funeral pyre.

NC postpones central working committee meeting

Nepali Congress (NC) has postponed the meeting of its Central Working Committee, which was supposed to be held today. Min Bishwakarma, Head of the Nepali Congress Publicuty Department said that the meeting has been postponed after the death of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s wife Sita Dahal. The meeting of the Central Committee will be held on 18 July.
