German citizen arrested with 6 kg hashish at TIA
A German citizen has been arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with more than 6 kg of hashish. Police arrested the German national, Paul Rist, on Monday morning as he was set to fly to Stuttgart from Kathmandu via Istanbul by Turkish Airlines.
Parliamentary hearing of proposed CJ Karki to be conducted Thursday
The hearing of the proposed Chief Justice (CJ) Hari Krishna Karki will be held on Thursday. The meeting of the parliamentary hearing committee held on Monday decided to discuss with the complainants on Wednesday and to hear on Thursday. A total of 29 complaints have been filed against Karki.
Monsoon-induced disasters likely to affect 1.25 million people this year
This year’s monsoon is likely to affect 1.25 million citizens in the country, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority. The Authority, based on various scientific analyses, conducted a study and projected that a total of 286,998 households is likely to be impacted.

Monsoon expected to enter Nepal in a couple of days

Gandaki province to execute artificial insemination for improving animal breeding
The Gandaki Province government is set to implement an artificial insemination program for improving livestock breeding and increasing productivity. The province government’s annual policy and program for the fiscal year 2080/81 has come up with a program for improving cows and buffaloes breeding and boosting productivity so as to make the province self-sufficient and commercial in milk production.
Tremor jolts Bajura
An earthquake took place with its epicenter at Bicchiya of Bajura district. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, Lainchaur, an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 was felt in the district at 7.38 am this morning.
