Federalism, good-governance, prosperity, socialism inevitable in country: Vice President Yadav



KATHMANDU: Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav said that federalism, good governance, prosperity, and socialism were inevitable in the country and thus called for enforcing them effectively.

Unveiling a book on the late leader Prem Krishna Pathak in a program organized by Swapna Balika Publication here today, VP Yadav viewed that the new generation of Nepal should learn a great deal from the late leader Pathak.

The book ‘Anek Ayamka Kranti Yoddha: Prem Krishna Pathak ‘ (A multi-faceted revolutionary hero: Prem Krishna Pathak) contains altogether 63 articles and write-ups penned by the late leader Pathak. The book also has excerpts of Pathak’s interview taken over different time periods.

There are also 43 articles written by various personalities on the late Pathak.
The Vice-President, launching the book, shed light on the contribution of late leader Pathak in various political and people movements from 2007 BS to 2046 BS.

He also lauded the role played by Pathak in the establishment of democracy and his contribution to epoch-making agendas such as federalism, a republic system of governance, religious secularism, proportional representation, and inclusiveness.

He reminisced Pathak as a person with heightened awareness and skilled advocacy prowess. According to the VP, the late Pathak had also served as the President of the Nepal Bar Association and significantly contributed to establishing the judiciary in the country.

On the occasion, Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Ashok Kumar Rai talked highly about contributions of late Pathak in judiciary, literature and politics.
