Opium poppy farming destroyed in Rolpa

ROLPA: The District Police Office Rolpa has destroyed illegal poppy farming on around 28 ropani of land at different parts of the district.

As the office said, it destroyed 25,500 opium poppy plants at Pariwartan rural municipality 4 and 5 recently.

The 33-member security squad led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Saru Magar destroyed the illegal farming.

Police here resort to the illegal opium farming in the northern and eastern part of the district each year.
