Ruling coalition has no diverse views on candidacy for next President: Deputy Prime Minister Lingden

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chairman Rajendra Lingden claimed that there has been no diverse opinion, in the ruling coalition, regarding the candidacy for the next President .

Speaking to media after the meeting of the high-level political mechanism led by CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, the RPP chairman said that all the rumors about the conflict in the ruling coalition are false.

“The meeting reviewed the actions taken by the government so far.  We talked about the strengths and weaknesses of the government and the coalition,” Lingden said, adding, “There is no conflict, no misunderstanding in the ruling coalition about the next president. We stick to the commitments we made at the time of formation of the coalition.”

He labeled the news about the conflict in the coalition especially in the candidacy of the next President as misleading and ill-intent.
