Baburam Gautam elected Speaker of Province-1 Assembly



BIRATNAGAR: Baburam Gautam of the Maoist Center has been unanimously elected as the Speaker of Province 1.

A meeting of the State Assembly held on Thursday elected MP Gautam, who was elected from Okhaldhunga-2.

CPN-UML’s Rewati Raman Bhandari proposed Gautam’s name as the Speaker seconded by Kamal Javegu of the Unified Socialist Party, Narayan Burja Magar of the Maoist Center and Gopal Bahadur Bishwakarma of Rastriya Prajatantra Party.
