NEPSE witnesses 15.40-point decline on Monday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has once again faced a downturn on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

After the rise of 111.20 points in the first trading session on Sunday, the stock market witnessed a decline of 15.40 points on Monday, reaching 1948.57 points.

With 1,091,918 transactions of 4,698,274 shares traded by 303 companies today, the total turnover amounted to NPR 4,841,274,386.

While the share prices of 81 companies surged, 157 companies faced a decline, and 3 companies’ prices remained stable. Although the market faced another decline, there was an increase in the overall transaction volume.

Sunday had seen a surge in the stock market after a long time, with the Nepse index climbing 111.20 points to reach 1,963.98 points. The turnover amounted to NPR 482,482,000 involving the sale of 1,367,000 shares by 7,144 transactions of 244 companies.
