KATHMANDU: The State Affairs and Good-Governance Committee of the House of Representatives has suggested Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to effectively ensure relief operations and expedite reconstruction of the quake-hit properties in the affected districts.
The Committee members met with Prime Minister Dahal on Saturday.
“Completion of the rescue operations in 13 hours was the result of the PM’s promptness. For this, the Committee would extend special thanks to the government on behalf of the Committee,” Committee Chair Ramhari Khatiwada said.
Committee member and UML lawmaker Krishna Gopal Shrestha also extended gratitude to the proactive move of the PM and the government’s role taken in the rescue and relief operation.
