PM Disaster Relief Fund receives a contribution of Rs 130 million



KATHMANDU: In response to the call for support to rebuild homes for earthquake victims in Jajarkot and Rukum West, the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund has garnered Rs 132.23 million as of now.

The Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers stated that from November 4 to 10, a total of Rs.13 crore 23 lakh 78 thousand 744 has been collected from various individuals and organizations.

The funds are intended to support the reconstruction efforts in the areas affected by the November 3 earthquake.

The contributions from both individuals and organizations underscore the collective commitment to aiding those in need, an official at the PM’s Office said.

Meanwhile, the government has distributed relief materials to 60 percent of the November 3 earthquake in Jakarkot and Rukum West in one week.

Krishna Bahadur GC, the Internal Affairs and Law Minister of Karnali Province Government, said that significant progress has been made in the distribution of relief, with 60 percent of victims already getting the relief materials within a week.
