One killed, 12 injured in Dolakha jeep accident



DOLAKHA: One person died and 12 others were injured when a jeep met with an accident at Bhimeshwar Municipality-7 Deurali in Dolkaha district last night.

The Bolero (Ba 21 Cha 8268) met with the accident after it lost control, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Sujan Magar of Melung-7 in Dolakha.

The Bolero jeep, en route from Kalinchock to Charikot, collided with a motorcycle.

The impact caused the Bolero to veer off the road, plummeting approximately 30 meters.

Police Inspector Dharmesh Kumar Yadav from the District Police Office Dolakha said that five of the twelve injured victims were urgently referred to Kathmandu for medical treatment.

The remaining injured individuals received care in Charikot.

Police have detained the jeep driver as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are underway.
