60 percent of earthquake victims receive relief materials



KARNALI: The government has distributed relief materials to 60 percent of the November 3 earthquake in Jakarkot and Rukum West in one week.

Krishna Bahadur GC, the Internal Affairs and Law Minister of Karnali Province Government, said that significant progress has been made in the distribution of relief, with 60 percent of victims already getting the relief materials within a week.

In an effort that involved both air and land routes, relief operations in Jajarkot and Rukum West provided assistance to 60% of the affected population, as confirmed by Minister GC.

He further assured that all earthquake victims would receive the much-needed relief by today (Saturday).

Minister GC emphasized the urgency of delivering compulsory relief to those residing in houses reduced to ruins by the earthquake.

Furthermore, the provincial government has allocated Rs. 244 million to support relief efforts across earthquake-affected local levels.
