RPP Spokesperson warns protest against govt if no action against Madhav Nepal, Baburam Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: Gyanendra Shahi, the spokesperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), issued a stern warning to the government, signaling a potential wave of protests if no action is taken against former Prime Ministers Madhav Kumar Nepal and Dr. Baburam Bhattarai in the Baluwatar Land Grab case.

Speaking at a press conference held at the party’s headquarters on Monday, the RPP spokesperson demanded accountability and warned of imminent demonstrations.

“I want to challenge the Prime Minister; the days of mere rhetoric and protests are over. The people elected the Prime Minister to serve their interests. If we fail to do so, it is better to resign and make way for someone who can,” Shahi declared. “Don’t underestimate us; we will demonstrate how a true movement is conducted. Our unity is resolute when it comes to matters of national importance.”

Shahi stressed that their movement is firmly centered on the question of nationality, asserting that if Madhav Kumar Nepal and Baburam Bhattarai are not prosecuted in the Baluwatar land grab case, they will initiate a potent protest from September 13.
