NC holding office bearers’ meeting even today

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its office bearers today as well.

The meeting to be held at NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Dhumbarahi will continue discussions on the latest political situation, arrest of its leader and Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand on the fake Bhutanese refugee scame, among others.

Meanwhile, in a meeting held on Wednesday, NC General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma demanded that Khand be suspended from the party.

NC President Deuba, however, remained silent while NC Spokesperson and Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat defended Khand saying, “Since he (Khand) has been cooperating in the investigation, there was no need to suspend him.”
