Rape-accused judge Giri arrested



KATHMANDU: Rape-accused Judge Bhuvan Giri has been arrested.

Kapilvastu District Court had last week issued an arrest warrant against Giri.

SSP Dan Bahadur Karki of District Police Complex Kathmandu said that Giri was arrested by the police from Pavitranagar in Gongbu, Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon.

Preparations are being made to send the arrested Giri to Kapilvastu.

Lately, Giri was working in the Judicial Council. Earlier, he was a judge in District Court, Kapilvastu.

The victim had filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, against Giri.
