JSP’s Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav files candidacy for the post of vice president



KATHMANDU: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), Nepal’s leader Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav has filed his candidacy for the post of vice president.

He registered his candidacy after reaching Parliament House New Baneshwar on Saturday.

Earlier, the executive committee meeting of JSP held last Thursday decided to make Yadav the vice-presidential candidate.

It is said that since the Election Commission has asked to register women’s candidature, two nominations will be given on behalf of JSP. Pramila Kumari will be the next candidate.

The proponents of Yadav’s candidature are Ashok Kumar Rai, Pradeep Yadav, Kisan Shrestha, Shakti Basnet and Rameshjung Rayamazhi. Similarly, the supporters include Rekha Yadav, Ambika Kafle, Prakash Jwala, Khimlal Devkota and Bhanubhakta Joshi.

CPN-UML Vice-Chair Ashtalakshmi Shakya has already registered her candidacy for the post of Vice-President.

Similarly, Janamat Party Nepal leader Mamata Jha has also registered her candidacy for the same.
