Kathmandu Court grants bail to 17 Individuals, including Bhatbhateni proprietor Gurung

Hearing on the Lalita Niwas Land Grab Case, the Kathmandu District Court has granted bail to 17 individuals, including the proprietor of Bhatbhateni supermarket, Min Bahadur Gurung on Sunday. The court ordered the release of Gurung upon the submission of a bail worth 24.6 million rupees. The Bench of Judge Bholanath Dhakal ruled in favor of granting ordinary bail to Keshav Tuladhar, while 17 others have been allowed to post bail.

PM Dahal consults with political leadership over his upcoming visit to China

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ today held high-level political talks in the run-up to his visit to the United States of America to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and subsequent visit to China. In the discussions, the Prime Minister was advised to prioritize the establishment of balanced diplomatic ties with the neighbors, to review the implementation status of agreements, to pay heed to security affairs of mutual concerns, and to promote the Nepal’s non-aligned foreign policy.

RSP asks PM Dahal to raise map discrepancy with China with vigor

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has presented a series of seven written suggestions to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda. Ahead of his upcoming visits to the United States and China, PM Dahal sought counsel from former prime ministers, former foreign ministers, and leaders of parliamentary parties on Sunday.

Himalaya Airlines starts flight to Quingdao, China

The Himalaya Airlines has started flights to Qingdao from today. The Airlines started chartered flights to the touristic city in connection with expanding its destinations in China. Airlines vice-president Bijaya Shrestha said they have started direct flights to this Chinese city with the objective of promoting tourism between Nepal and China. According to him, the Airlines aim to operate flights to at least 10 destinations in China and bring in one million tourists.

Landslides block Sanfe-Martadi road

The Sanfe-Martadi road remained closed for traffic since Saturday after a landslide blocked the road in Amkot. The road connecting the headquarters Martadi has been blocked since last night, said Police Inspector Dansingh Bhandari of the District Police Office.

Koshi State govt issues budget ordinance

The Koshi State government issued a budget ordinance today. Following his reappointment as Chief Minister, Hikmat Kumar Karki swiftly made a decisive move during the inaugural cabinet meeting by introducing this ordinance. The ordinance received approval from Koshi Province Chief Parshuram Khapung.

Sudurpaschim Province faces significant risk of dengue spread

Sudurpaschim Province is facing a significant risk of dengue spread, as indicated by data from the Sudurpaschim Province Health Directorate.Hemraj Joshi, the focal person at the Directorate, expressed growing concern over the increasing number of dengue patients on a daily basis. In the last one month, the province reported a staggering 353 cases of dengue patients.
