UML agrees to remove House obstruction

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has agreed to lift the obstruction in the Federal Parliament.

On Monday, a meeting was held between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda,” CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba with the aim of ending the Parliament’s impasse.

The CPN-UML, as the main opposition party, had been blocking the functioning of the Parliament, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Dahal due to his perceived “irresponsible” statement made at a program in Kathmandu last week.

During the program, PM Dahal had mentioned that Sardar Pritam Singh had made multiple visits to Delhi in an attempt to secure the position of Nepal’s Prime Minister.

As a resolution, it has been decided that Prime Minister Dahal will address the Parliament to provide clarification regarding his statement.
