National Assembly meeting postponed

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the National Assembly scheduled for today has been postponed citing “special reasons”.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday (July 11), according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

The major opposition CPN-UML obstructed the National Assembly (NA) on Sunday as well over the Prime Minister’s recent public statement in a book launching ceremony on July 3.

With the obstruction, the schedule of the deliberations on the budget allocations to various ministries under the Appropriation Bill, 2080 BS have been affected.
