Bhutanese refugee scam: No one should be spared, says Shekhar Koirala



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said that whoever is found guilty in the case of fake refugees should be punished.

Koirala said the leaders should not put pressure to protect the accused in this case.

Speaking to journalists at the Biratnagar Airport on Wednesday morning, Koirala said that the case of fake Bhutanese refugees is a disgrace for the country.

“All those involved in the case should be brought to book. There is no issue of ‘ifs and buts,” Dr. Koirala said.

Stating that the case concerning the fake Bhutanese refugees has become an international issue, he expressed his belief that the investigation being conducted by the police will continue.
