Bharatpur Hospital expanding services

BHARATPUR: The Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan will be expanding its services on the occasion of its 67th anniversary.

As the hospital said, it will be adding a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), critical care unit (CCU) and burn unit to its service list.

Similarly, it has decided to expand the 20-bed intensive care unit (ICU) to the 30-bed facility and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) as well.

According to hospital medical superintendent Pro Dr Krishna Prasad Poudel, the hospital will be soon launching the eight-bed PICU to provide the highest level of care to children above 28 days to 14 years and the three-bed burn unit.

One more oxygen plant has been fixed here with the help of NRNA and the number of oxygen plants in the hospital reaches three.

The hospital remains the federal health care facility.

It, however, faces a shortage of human resources and equipment, forcing patients to wait for a long to access its services.
