KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has called a central secretariat meeting to decide on the vice-presidential candidate for March 17 election.

Deputy Secretary General Prithvi Subba Gurung informed that the meeting will be held at nine o’clock on Saturday morning.

According to Gurung, the meeting will decide on the vice presidential candidate and will also review the presidential election performance.

The Election Commission has already announced the schedule of nominations for the Vice President on Saturday.

UML nominated Subas Nembang as its candidate for the presidency. Nepali Congress senior leader Ramchandra Paudel, also the candidate from the eight-party ruling coalition, has been elected after defeating Nembang with wide difference on Thursday.
