Joint meeting of Maoist factions underway at Baluwatar



KATHMANDU: A joint meeting of all Maoist factions is underway at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar.

Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, General Secretary of CPN-Maoist Netra Bikram Chand Biplav, Maoist leader Dharmendra Bastola and Karnajit Budhathoki are discussing the political developments in the meeting.

Maoist leaders are discussing issues such as party unity, conflict-related events, Transitional Justice, among others, are being discussed.

Earlier, the leaders of all the Maoist factions spoke in favor of uniting and fighting against all “regressive” forces and attacks against them.

Leaders of the Maoist faction had earlier held a discussion in Baluwatar after a writ was filed in the Supreme Court against Prachanda regarding the issue of the “People’s War” era.
