KATHMANDU: President-elect Ram Chandra Paudel has said that he was committed to impartiality, neutrality and due process of law in his work execution.

He said he was aware that the role performed by the President would have a bearing on the exercise of the constitution and governance.

Extending a message of gratitude to all after his election to the President, Paudel vowed to get engaged in the national campaign for sustainable peace, good governance, development and prosperity by internalizing the letter and spirit of the constitution while discharging his duty as the President.

“Constitutional responsibilities for the promotion of Nepal’s national unity, defense of sovereignty, and implementation and protection of the constitution shall be my guiding principles,” he said.

In his message, President-elect Paudel also extended a heartfelt tribute to all martyrs who lost their lives in different movements, struggles and campaigns waged for the establishment and restoration of democracy.

Likewise, Paudel has expressed his respect to former Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang for the friendly competition in the presidential election, Nembang’s political party and the voters as well.
