KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is addressing the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament at 3 pm today (Friday).

President Bhandari is addressing the joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament as per Article 95 of the Constitution of Nepal.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” will table separate proposals in the House of Representatives and the National Assembly regarding the President’s address.

Article 95 of the Constitution of Nepal states that the President may address a meeting of any House of the Federal Parliament or a joint meeting of both Houses and call for the presence of members.

The first session of the House of Representatives, which was formed after the election of the members of the House of Representatives and the members of the Provincial Assembly, which was held on November 20, is currently underway.

Similarly, President Bhandari is organizing a tea party at the President’s Office Sheetalniwas in honor of the newly elected MPs on Saturday.
