Dry port at Dodhara Chandani soon, says Industry Minister Bhandari

KANCHANPUR: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari has said that the proposed dry port in Dodhara Chandani would be developed soon.

Minister Bhandari said that development of the dry port would begin soon, while stating that the dry port and Daiji Chhela Industrial Estate would open up the door of development for Sudurpaschim.

Minister Bhandari said that plans would be made to export the goods produced there in the Indian market.

Similarly, Bhandari announced to begin the feasibility study of mining industries in the Sudurpaschim Province.

“We have been making efforts for the issue of Nepal-India transportation. It will be easier for export of Nepali goods if the dry port was constructed at Dodhara Chandani,” according to Minister Bhandari.

He also pledged to bring the customs office at Belauri into operation. Chairman of Belauri Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tek Bahadur Saud shared that the event was organized to propel industrial and economic activities in the southern belt of Kanchanpur district.
