JSP leader Yadav to submit claim for Madhes CM

JANAKPURDHAM: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) parliamentary party (PP) leader Saroj Yadav is going to submit his claim for the Chief Minister of Madhes on Tuesday.

Earlier, the process of formation of the provincial government in Madhes was delayed waiting for the JSP to select its PP leader.

Since Saroj Yadav has been selected as the leader of the party on Monday, JSP, as designed by the ruling coalition in Kathmandu, will submit its claim now.

According to JSP Madhesh Chairman Rambabu Yadav, the PP leader will submit his name for CM today.

Although JSP is in third rank with 16 province assembly members here, Yadav said that his party would get the support of other parties in the ruling coalition including, 23 members of CPN-UML, 8 of  CPN-Maoist Center, 13 of Janamat Party, and one each from Rastriya Prajatantra Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party.

There are a total of 107 members in Madhes province. Yadav said that the swearing-in of the Chief Minister will take place on January 13.

Madhes province chief has called for two or more parties to submit the claim to form the government by January 12.
