UML calls CC meeting to strategize Mid Hill Highway campaign

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML, the main opposition party, is holding its central committee meeting on November 22.

Party leader Pradeep Gyawali, who is also the party’s Deputy General Secretary, said that the party’s Secretariat meeting held on Wednesday decided to hold the central committee meeting to discuss contemporary politics, among other issues.

He emphasized the need for the central committee meeting to effectively mobilize leaders and devise comprehensive strategies for the successful implementation of the special campaign centered on the Madhyapahadi Lok Marga (Mid Hill Highway) campaign.

The party is organizing a “Jhulaghat-Chiwabhanjang March for Prosperity’ from Jhulaghat in Baitadi with a focus on the Mid-hill Highway.

Rajendra Gautam, a leader of the party, emphasized that the campaign is likely to kick off in the last week of November.

As part of this initiative, the UML has aimed to conduct various meetings and interactive sessions.

The campaign will also serve to identify the cause of the rapid migration from the mountains and hills and find a solution, promote social harmony and national unity, respect for history and elders, increase in confidence that the nation will become strong and prosperous and expansion of public relations.
