HoR meeting delayed for two hours at PM’s request

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives has been postponed for two hours on Sunday at the request of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire postponed the meeting scheduled for 1 pm today by two hours at the Prime Minister’s request.

UML has been obstructing the House over Prime Minister Dahal’s controversial remarks about alleged foreign influence in government formation in Nepal.

Maoist Center Chairman Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli are holding a discussion on removing the obstruction in the parliament.

While the discussion was going on, the Prime Minister called the Speaker and asked him to postpone the meeting for a few hours.
