Only 60 percent of paddy transplantation in Karnali



KARNALI: About 60 percent of the paddy transplanted has been completed as of the first week of July.

However, 100 percent paddy transplantation has been completed in Dolpa, Director of Karnali Province Agriculture Development Directorate Chitra Bahadur Rokaya said.

Likewise, 84.03 percent of planting has been carried out in Humla, 60 percent in Mugu, 70 percent in Salyan, and 60 percent in Rukum Paschim.

In Dailekh, not even 50 percent has been done yet. Director Rokaya said that only 45 percent of planting has been done in Dailekh so far.

In Jajarkot 75 percent of planting has been completed while Jumla has seen 95 percent of planting completed with only 55.5 percent in Surkhet.

Paddy cultivation in Karnali is being carried out on 48,133 hectares of land.
