Nepali basketball team to go to Maldives



KATHMANDU: The Nepali National Men’s Basketball Team is going to play in the Five Nations Men’s Basketball Championship in Maldives.

Bhimsingh Gurung, Executive President of the Nepal Basketball Association, informed at a press conference held on Friday that Nepal will participate in the tournament from June 14 to June 22.

According to Narendra Thapa, Secretary General of the Basketball Association, Maldives, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Pakistan will participate in the tournament along with Nepal.

The Nepali team comprises Satish Pradhan, Binod Maharjan, Bijay Burja, Nikesh Rakhal Magar, Mavinder Bhandari, Ajay Kushwaha, Divbyeshwar Shah, Ayush Singh, Nischal Maharjan, Manish KC, Asim Shrestha, and Shreyash Bahadur Shah.

Bipin Kapali and Nripesh Shrestha are announced as the coaches and Sushil Gurung the manager of the team.

The team will go to the Maldives on Monday.
