Nepal sees 55 coronavirus cases in 24 hours, active cases 396

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded 55 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 50 were tested through the RT-PCR method and  five through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,216 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of them, 671 swabs were tested through the RT-PCR method and 545 through the Antigen method.

There are 396 active cases in Nepal as 11 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,020 to date.
