Maoist Center holding virtual CC meeting



KATHMANDU: The ruling Maoist Center is holding a meeting of its Central Committee today.

The central committee meeting to be held through virtual means will be addressed by party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

A meeting of the party’s Standing Committee held at the party’s central office, Parisdanda had decided to convene a meeting of the central committee through virtual means.

He said that the Zoom ID and password for the virtual meeting will be sent to tbe central members.

It should be noted that the Maoist Centre appointed former Speaker Agni Sapkota as Vice Chair of the party.

Likewise, Deputy General Secretary Pampha Bhusal has also been promoted as the Vice Chair.

Narayankaji Shrestha remains the senior Vice Chair and Krishna Bahadur Mahara as the Vice Chair.

Haribol Gajurel, Janardan Sharma, Barshaman Pun, Girirajmani Pokharel, Matrika Yadav and Shakti Basnet remain as the deputy general secretary.

Likewise, Ganesh Sah, Dinanath Sharma, Chakrapani Khanal, Devendra Poudel, Leelamani Pokharel, Hitraj Pandey, Hitman Shakya, Ram Karki and Dilaram Acharya are the Secretaries.

Shriram Dhakal is the treasurer of the part which now has 22 office-bearers, 44 standing committee members, 386 central committee members and 202 alternate central committee members.
