JSP elects Saroj Kumar Yadav as its PP leader in Madhes

JANAKPURDHAM: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has unanimously elected Saroj Kumar Yadav as its parliamentary party leader in the Madhes province.

According to leader Ram Satish Yadav, former Speaker Yadav was unanimously elected as the leader of the parliamentary party after another candidate Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut withdrew his candidacy.

JSP has 16 lawmakers in Madhes.

As JSP has supported Maoist-Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ led government at the federal government, the parties in the ruling coalition have agreed to JSP and Janamat Party as Chief Minister in Madhes alternately.

Provided the coalition parties keep their words, JSP parliamentary party leader Yadav will soon become the Chief Minister of Madhes.
