UML leader Adhikari gets appointed as Gandaki Province CM



POKHARA: CPN-UML parliamentary party leader Khagaraj Adhikari has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Gandaki province.

Chief of Gandaki province Prithviman Gurung appointed Adhikari as Gandaki Chief Minister as per Article 168 of the Constitution

In the 60-member provincial assembly in Gandaki, UML leader Adhikari claimed to be the chief minister with the support of 33 lawmakers including 22 from UML, 8 from Maoist Center, 2 from Rastriya Prajatantra Party and independent lawmaker Deepak Manange.

Adhikari had submitted the claim on the last day of the deadline to claim for Chief Minister after the ruling coalition agreed to let UML lead Gandaki province coalition for the full term.
