FCAN warns of halting nationwide construction projects if immediate Rs 40 billion payments remain unsettled

Police confiscate two kg of gold at Nagdhunga, three arrested
In a successful operation on Friday, the Kathmandu Valley Crime Division seized two kilograms of gold from Nagdhunga, Kathmandu, leading to the arrest of three individuals. The gold was reportedly being smuggled from the Rasuwagadi border point to Kathmandu. Acting on a tip-off, a dedicated team of police apprehended the suspects involved in the illegal transportation of the precious metal.
Committee formed to investigate 14 kg gold smuggling case
In response to the 14 kg gold smuggling case, the government has established a committee tasked with conducting a thorough investigation. The committee, led by Custom Officer Mani Ram Poudel, includes Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Prasad Subedi, Custom Officer Prakash Niraula, Dilli Prasad Sharma, and Officer Manju Thapa.
