Pro-republican parties vow to protect republicanism
The pro-republican parties, including the three major forces that mey on Tuesday under the initiative of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, have affirmed their determination to oppose the activities of the pro=monarchists and anti-change factions. Following a meeting held at Singha Durbar, Maoist Center Vice Chairperson Pampha Bhusal emphasized that the senior leaders of the parties, who have dedicated their lives to advocating for change, have collectively agreed to confront any anti-change endeavors.
China pledges additional Rs 280 million aid package for Nepal’s earthquake victims
China has announced an additional aid package of approximately Rs 280 million to support the victims of Jajarkot of Nepal’s recent devastating earthquake. Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, announced this additional assistance via the social networking platform X.
NC donates Rs 50 lakhs to govt for earthquake victims
The Nepali Congress (NC) has contributed Rs 50 lakhs to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, aimed at providing aid to the victims of the recent devastating earthquake in Jajarkot and Rukum West. Earlier today, NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, accompanied by other NC leaders, reached Prime Minister;s official residence in Baluwatar to donate a 50-lakh cheque to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.
Nepali squad announced for T20I Series
Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has unveiled the initial 22-member Nepali squad for the upcoming four-nation T20I series. The announcement was made on Tuesday, with the series set to kick off from next Wednesday. Scheduled to take place in Hong Kong from November 19, the T20I series will witness a showdown between Hong Kong, UAE, Malaysia, and Nepal.
President Paudel visits earthquake-hit Jajarkot and Rukum West

Departing via a Nepali Army (NA) helicopter on Tuesday morning, President Paudel flew to Jajarkot to personally assess the situation in Jajarkot and Rukum West. The President faced public backlash over the timing of his European visit, leading to the postponement of his plans.
Madhesh govt to provide 60 lakhs worth of relief materials for earthquake victims
The Madhesh government, through its Disaster Management Committee, has announced its decision to dispatch relief materials valued at Rs 60 lakh to support the earthquake victims in Jajarkot and Rukum.
All services sans emergency halted in Patan Hospital
In protest to a recent violent incident, the doctors and health workers at Patan Hospital in Lalitpur launched a protest, halting all treatment services barring emergency care. The demonstration comes after the assault of a hospital doctor by the relatives of two patients who passed away last Saturday. Following the deaths, the aggrieved family members lashed out at the medical staff involved in their treatment, resulting in a disruptive and unsettling situation.
Two killed in road accident in Baglung

Earthake: 35,000 families left homeless in Jajarkot and Rukum
A devastating earthquake that struck Jajarkot and Rukum West on Friday night has left a staggering 35,000 families without homes. Reports indicate that 17,792 houses were completely demolished across 13 districts, including Jajarkot and Rukum West, while an additional 17,529 mud houses have been rendered uninhabitable due to extensive structural damage.
India hands over 2nd consignment of earthquake relief materials to Nepal
India has handed over second consignment of emergency relief materials for earthquake-affected families in Nepal today. Deputy Chief of Mission, Prasanna Shrivastava, on behalf of the Government of India, handed over the materials to the Chief District Officer of Banke Shrawan Kumar Pokhrel in presence of Nepalgunj Mayor Prashant Bista.
