Karnali province govt distributes Rs 24.5 million to earthquake-hit local levels



KARNALI: The Karnali province government has distributed Rs 24.5 million to the earthquake survivors from Jajarkot, Rukum Paschim, and Salyan districts.

Sixteen local levels from these districts received monetary support.

Bheri and Nalgadh municipalities, as well as Barekot rural municipalities of Jajarkot, were each given Rs 2.5 million, while Kushe rural municipality received Rs 2 million, and Chhedgad municipality and Junichande rural municipality were allocated Rs 1 million each.

Krishna Bahadur GC, the government spokesperson and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, shared this information, adding that Shivalaya rural municipality was provided half a million rupees.

In Rukum West district, Athbiskot and Sanibheri municipalities were granted Rs 2.5 million each, while Chaurajahari and Triveni rural municipality received Rs 2 million each.

Musikot municipality received Rs 1 million, and Banphikot rural municipality was allocated half a million rupees.

Additionally, Darma rural municipality of Salyan was provided with Rs 1.5 million, and Bagchaur and Bangad Kupinde municipalities each received half a million rupees.

Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim were among the districts that suffered the most during the November 3 earthquake.
