NC calls for immediate rescue and repatriation of Nepalis in Israel

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has urged the government to take swift action to rescue and repatriate Nepali citizens currently in Israel.

NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba issued a statement on Sunday condemning the recent attack in Israel.

He expressed concern for the injured Nepalis and those who had been taken hostage, stressing the need for their immediate evacuation to safety.

“The Nepali Congress strongly urges the Government of Nepal to initiate immediate diplomatic efforts to facilitate the necessary rescue and return of our citizens,” he said.

Furthermore, he called upon international communities, neighboring nations, international human rights organizations, immigration-related entities, and the International Red Cross Committee to collaborate in creating a conducive environment for Nepali workers in Israel to safely return home.
