KATHMANDU: In the wake of the recent Palestinian militant attacks in Israel, a Nepalese resident, Bipin Subedi, currently residing in Israel, has made an urgent appeal for assistance and safety for himself and fellow Nepalis.

Subedi, a member of the Prime Minister’s Agricultural Modernization Project Implementation Unit in Dang, found himself caught in the crossfire while leading a group of students from Sudurpaschim University.

In a Facebook post, he implored the government to swiftly facilitate their evacuation to a secure location.

Subedi has been bridging the gap between the Nepalese embassy and the government, particularly in regions afflicted by conflict.

Expressing his deep concern over the delay in necessary actions, he emphasized the potential increase in human casualties as panic continues to grip the affected areas.

“The question we hear from the state is, ‘What has happened?’ Yet, those of us living in fear are nearing the point where our very lives are threatened by this fear,” Subedi lamented.

He fervently wished for Nepalis’ collective safety and urged the government to take immediate measures to ensure it.

Subedi also called the government to heed their request, as his heart raced with panic and his eyes welled with tears.

It should be noted that Israeli fighter jets hit a military facility at the residence of the terrorist group Hamas’ intelligence chief in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces said.

Sharing an update on the ongoing counter-offensive on social media platform X, the IDF posted, “Fighter jets recently attacked a military infrastructure at the home of the head of the intelligence department of the terrorist organization Hamas.”

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to terrorist outfit Hamas, saying that it started a cruel, evil war and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will use all its strength to destroy its capabilities.

“Hamas forces invaded Israeli territory this morning, on the morning of a holiday and Shabbat, and murdered innocent civilians, children and the elderly. Hamas started a cruel and evil war. We will win this war, but the price is too heavy to bear. This is a very difficult day for all of us,” the Israeli PM posted on ‘X’ on Sunday.
